Growing up in Switzerland instilled in Lorena a deep respect for craftsmanship and a natural attention to detail that has defined her 12-year career as a drafter. She came to the field with a technical foundation and stayed for the creative challenge. "I've always believed that great design has to work before it can be beautiful," she says. "My job is to make sure those two things never get separated."

Lorena quickly found her footing in high-end residential projects, where the margin for error is small and the expectations are high. Her ability to interpret a client's vision and anticipate the technical demands of a complex project set her apart early. CAD is where her precision lives, but rendering is where her artistry shows up — she has a rare talent for producing visuals that feel finished and real, long before construction ever begins.

When the opportunity came to join the Drafted by Design team, it was a natural fit. "Lorena brings something you can't teach," says Nina. "She's technically excellent, but she also just gets it — she understands what a designer is trying to say and knows how to get that onto the page."

Outside of work, Lorena finds her reset in nature, trading the precision of the screen for something a little slower and a lot more open.
