Lisa Alves
Lisa’s lifelong interest in art stems from growing up in a family well versed in drawing, building and crafting items by hand. Surrounded by people who encouraged her creative streak, she started dabbling in design as a teenager, sketching her own floor plans, furnishings and décor on paper, as well as learning how to create designs on her computer.
As a student in the Interior Architectural Design Program at Santa Monica College, Lisa took multiple Computer Aided Drafting courses and fell in love with CAD. Since college, she has achieved her dream of becoming an interior designer and draftsman. Wherever she has worked, she has taken advantage of the opportunity for professional growth, expanding her knowledge and skills in numerous areas of design.
“Lisa can focus on the fine details and still see the whole design picture,” says Nina Silver. “She’s a great addition to our team.”
Lisa’s specialty is space planning. With each client’s unique goals in mind, she prepares options for living spaces that are both functional and aesthetic. “There’s an art to laying out a space to make it functional and pleasing to the eye,” she says. “It’s very satisfying to know that by fulfilling my need to create, I’m helping make someone else’s dream come to life.”
